So You Think You Can Dance 2009 Music Possibilities
I always love to talk about the various music that we could see used on So You Think You Can Dance. Although, some of the best part of the show is learning about new music that you might not have ever heard before.
Another thing I like about the music on So You Think You Can Dance is that the dancing can completely change the feeling I get when I hear a song. I’d say that good dancing makes every song better. The following are some interesting songs that I’d love to see put to choreography on So You Think You Can Dance 2009. I wonder if any will be used.
Let me know if you have other songs you’d love to see on the show as well.
James Morrison – “You Make It Real”
Whitney Houston – “I Have Nothing”
Tito Puente – “Para Los Rumberos”
Sarah Vaughan – “Peter Gunn” (Max Sedgley Remix)
Any other music you’d like to see in 2009 on the fifth season of So You Think You Can Dance?
Man, I just can’t wait for So You Think You Can Dance season 5. Luckily, the wait is getting close to over. I’m counting the days until May 21st.
For the any contemporary routine I’d like to see/hear “After Afterall” and “Even Now” by William Fitzsimmons and “Permanent” by David Cook.
:o)
I think ‘Everytime It Rains’ by Charlotte Martin would be a great song to do. They used a Charlotte Martin song last season ‘The Dance’ for a Mia Michaels routine.
[…] Other Nigel Tidbits “Sometimes we have to replace audition music when a track doesn’t clear. After they’ve danced. Nancy and her team do a great job” Fans of SYTYCD have known this for a while. Some of the moves just don’t hit perfectly. I will say they do a pretty good job matching it up when it’s not the same music. As a side note, I’ll still be listing all of the So You Think You Can Dance 2009 music again. I even posted some SYTYCD 5 Music suggestions. […]
I would like to see someone dance to Sarah McLachlan’s “Stupid (Mark Bell Mix)” . The string arrangement is awesome and evokes a lot of dramatic movements.
I would like to see/hear someone dance to “Twenty Years” by Augustana, or “Falling Slowly” by Glen Hansard.
I’m hoping someone could PLEASE help me out!! I’m so desperate to find this artist/song.. It was heard on the most recent episode of SYTYCD (Los Angeles auditions).. It’s a male singer, and the lyrics include: “stick around ’til the sun goes down… drop a ball and haul away the chain.. Forgetting how this can feel like rain.. Got everything that I could ever need…”
It’s soo good! I MUST find the song… Any help would be greatly appreciated!
AH! Never, mind… Found it!! Craig Lyons: Moon burn !!!! SUCH a good song!!!!!
Brian,
Glad you found it. It was definitely one of the most popular from the SYTYCD LA Audition music: https://puresytycd.com/2009/05/28/so-you-think-you-can-dance-2009-seattle-and-la-audition-music/
They actually used Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” on the AU version of SYTYCD and it was one of the most memorable routines of the season. You can check it out at:

I also recommend this routine to The Fray – You Found Me:
Januarrey,
That’s exactly what I was talking about with Love Story. Incredibly beautiful to watch. Loved it!!
I think I like that The Fray one even better. Penny is definitely one of my favorites. Thanks for the recommendations. I love seeing the dance talent from around the world.
I think they should use “Jai Ho” by A R Rahman featuring Sukhvinder Singh, Tanvi Shah & Mahalaxmi Iyer…from Slumdog Millionaire! such an amazing song!!
I would love to see a trio dance to Missy Higgin’s “Where I Stood” (Courtney G. used it for one of her solos last season).
