SYTYCD Top 10 Performance Thoughts
Let me get right into this, because I feel like we kinda dived RIGHT into the show from the very beginning (i.e. why aren’t we getting to see video packages about the new partnerships??)…
-Judging by our poll earlier today, everybody underestimated Noelle and Ryan (including me). They only got one vote for the couple that would fare the best this week. And yeah, it’s early in the show, but that Nappytabs routine was HOT! And yes, they did have terrific chemistry. I feel like we saw an entirely different side of both of them and I’m with Mary – super excited to see their next routine together tonight.
-No offense to Gary Stuart, but that was contemporary? It looked waaay more like hip hop. Which is probably why Nigel had to explain his style. While I admired many parts of that routine, it kinda bored me. It seemed more about tricks rather than substance. And it seemed like Ashleigh was lifting Legacy rather than him ever lifting her. Oddly, despite all those negative comments, I was pretty proud of both of them. They “just attack[ed],” as Adam said (sorta). But I feel like this was another instance of the judges trying to “fix” a weird/hard to understand/boring routine with their comments.
-Of course Mollee has to talk about being in HSM. I mean, how do you not? But I was somehow a bit disappointed… Her brother was really cute talking about his awesome sister.
-I loved seeing Russell’s parents talk about his dancing and watching him on t.v. So cute. And Russell killed his solo! He had so much attitude and confidence out there. Awesome.
-Just as I hoped, Kathryn made a man out of that mancub! She grew him up! She’s only a year older, but she dances with so much more maturity than he’s shown so far. I loved watching them in this Spencer Liff Broadway routine. It was so fun and cute and ON. But I kept thinking, “Heavenly” about Kathryn. She is a dream. She kept reminding me of Rose McGowan in this routine, for some reason.
-Noelle’s solo was great and I loved her interview, finding out about her trying out for Season 5 and what it took to audition again and graduate school. Love her.
-That was a BIG scream for Ryan right before the commercial. 🙂
-Elleanore and Jakob’s quickstep was cute and entertaining, but I’m glad this routine was first so they can kill it with something a bit more charismatic at the end. 🙂 I think they did admirably and quickstep is just hard to enjoy sometimes. But I thought Tony & Melanie had a funny concept staging it like a ballroom competition.
-Hmmm. Ryan’s solo was one thin shirt away from a cheesy Chippendale’s act. Love him, but that was really…not the best use of his skills. But maybe this illustrates the difficulty ballroom dancers have with the solos.
-Kathryn’s solo was a lot of fun. Loved the song. She’s from Georgia like me! 🙂
-Mandy Moore loves her 80s music. I thought both Mollee and Russell were dancing well, but I disagreed with the judges about there chemistry. I think they have it and they’ll be able to show it more later. BUT, I didn’t feel it so much in this routine because it seemed like they were kinda performing separately. Maybe you disagree with me. But I did love that crazy, unexpected lift near the end that Nigel mentioned.
-Adam cracks me up. Loose quote – “I need medical attention after that. Please don’t dance so well in the future.” 🙂
-Wow, Nathan was really close to tears after his solo (pretty solid), which was strange since Cat was talking about someone being eliminated tomorrow while holding onto him and he looked so upset you’d almost think he just got cut. But I could totally see where he was coming from.
-I love the Noelle/Ryan partnership as much as the judges do (Adam called them a “power partnership”) and that was certainly gorgeous. It was really dreamy… It didn’t have as much pizazz their hip hop. I thought Nigel actually described it very well when he said they were like the prince and princess at the end of a Disney movie falling in love.
-Elleanore’s sole was kick ass!!! She is always quirky and interesting and strong.
-Man, I disagreed with the judges on this Ashleigh & Legacy routine as well. I actually liked this one better than the Gary Stuart and felt that if one of these two choreographers should have been called to task, it should’ve been Gary Stuart rather than Dave Scott. I think the routine would have been amazing with different dancers. I liked them okay in it – they had a lot of character and personality where they might not have been in sync. I felt like two things really hurt this routine – and it’s going to sound like I’m contradicting myself here. First, the more major production on the larger stage (flames in the background, etc.) was distracting and second, I would’ve liked to have seen the idea behind this routine (vampire?) and the two discovering their partnership. This is the weakest new partnership to me by far.
-I could see the weaknesses of Kathryn & Nathan’s rumba, but I still somehow enjoyed it. I think Kathryn was a huge part of that cause she was all in. But Nathan was strong and I think he not only supporter her, but showed that he’s building his repertoire and learning with every dance. I think this was a pretty successful new couple, but I did prefer their other routine. Hope to see them dance together again.
-Wow, was that a standing ovation (or something close?) after Legacy’s solo. It was pretty cool, but I actually enjoyed Russell and Elleanore’s solos much better. His dad and Cat were pretty funny. “Are you busting a move?”
-The moment I’ve been waiting for! THIS was why I was glad the quickstep was first, so that we could be left with this memory of Ellenore & Jakob. This combined some of my favorite things: Oona & Dave, Sonya, Jakob and Elleanore. Amazing!!!! Now that sounded like a standing ovation and yes, yes it was. I loved that this is now the 3rd Sonya routine that Nigel has claimed as his favorite this season. Loved that Adam mentioned “The Garden” routine from Courtney and Mark. And then the judges standing and clapping for them together. Brilliant! Who else thinks these two are gonna be in the Top 4?
-Ashleigh finally came to play with her solo! That was pretty awesome and had a lot of personality. Not to mention, speed. But…was the harsh lipstick back? And I would’ve liked to have heard about something else rather than her illness growing up, since we’ve heard about it before. But it was good to see her mom talk about it and I guess she can’t talk about Ryan. But, there’s got to be something else we can learn about her? Great solo, though.
-This Anya & Pasha jive was perfect for Mollee & Russell and I agree with Nigel that it must’ve sucked to follow Elleanore & Jakob and they did a great job doing it. It had a couple awkward “setting up” instances, I think, but was really fun and high-energy and I’m loving this new partnership, too. I agree that Mollee’s grown up a lot in the last week or so. At least, her dancing has. And Russell rocks. They had another interesting arm lift/twirl/whatever at the end of this one, too, which was kinda strange and cool.
-Jakob’s solo was good, but not the strongest of the night. 🙂 But that’s okay.
Overall, I really missed the “packages” where we got to see the new partnerships develop, but I imagine there was just too much to do in this one episode, especially considering they were preceded by President Obama’s Address to the Nation. I hope we get to see a little of them tomorrow. I’m looking forward to seeing Quest Crew and what happens tomorrow.
Top moments for me:
Ellenore and Jakob’s contemporary
Mollee and Russel’s jive
Noelle and Ryan’s hip hop
Jakob’s solo
Legacy’s solo
Worst moment for me:
Legacy and Ashleigh’s hip hop (what was with the cape!? It totally took away from the routine. I love them both and I blame the choreography.)
I’m having a tough time picking who I want to go home…but I think it might have to be Nathan and Kathryn. Something about Kathryn’s personality irks me…I think she seems too naive/churchy and its a big turnoff personally.
I missed the dance clips to hear what the stories were about, but it was nice to get to see the dancer’s families for a few seconds.
I’m with the judges on the Dave Scott piece – blech. Didn’t he ruin a couple of people last season as well? Or was that a different hip-hop choreographer? Hopefully Ashleigh and Legacy aren’t doomed by the hat. I’d send Mollee home over her (the judges loved the new Mollee, but she seemed just like the old one to me).
I totally agree about the packages! I said to my friend on gchat “see, this could have benefited from a pre-dance concept explanation” as soon as Ashleigh and Legacy started. And I would have LOVED to get inside the lab when Sonya was mixing up that dance with Ellenore and Jakob.
Ellenore highlighted more than ever how Ashleigh was skating through on Jakob’s coattails. They seemed to thrive off each other and it was just awesome… I had to rewind and watch it immediately. That was true complementary partnership.
I think what I dislike most about Ashleigh is that she dances so tightly. She doesn’t have extension the way the rest of the girls do.
I think the votes could go in any combination of ways tonight… Not sure who the most vulnerable girl is, but I’ll be voting to Ellenore to make sure we don’t have another “she’s safe” debacle. I’d power rank the guys: 1) Jakob 2) Russell 3) Legacy 4) Nathan 5) Ryan
girls: 1) Ellenore 2) Kathryn 3) Mollee (shock to myself to type this) 4 & 5) tie Noelle and Ashleigh, but I don’t think Noelle deserves to go home… she just finds herself at the short end of awesome routines, partnerships, and performance order (they were done EARLY!)
I actually disagree about the packages. Sure at first I was like wait something is missing. However at most dance show you don’t get to know what the story was. I like being able to watch a dance and come up with my own story. Plus not every dance needs a story.
Ryan and Noelle my fav new couple. Tha hip-hop was amazing, I didn’t need the footage to know what that was about.
Legacy and Ashleigh. @Emilie comtemporary can be many different things. As for Gary Stuart I seen his work on Superstars of Dance for team Austrailia. Now I know why Ashleigh tweeted her whole body was sore. Okay their hip hop wasn’t great, thats the only one I felt I needed a story for.
Kathryn and Nathan. I agree she helped him grow in maturity. I think I saw a little more chemistry than the judges. But it was the friendship bond. Loved that Broadway number it was fabulous.
Ellenore and Jakob. Just amazing. I have no words for that Sonya dance. My fav of the night.
Mollee and Russell. They were great tonight as well didnt see the chemistry in the first number though, but still a great dance. The jive was great for them.
Overall a good night of dancing.
I’m actually going to be be sorry no matter who goes home this week. I finally understand what the judges mean about this being such a great season because I honestly like all of the remaining dancers, I just like some more than others. Usually there is at least one dancer at this stage who I don’t feel is quite up to par but the top ten are, in my humble opinion, all wonderful and it’s coming down to the routines and the chemistry they have with their chosen partners more than ever before.
I was thrilled to see my favourite two dancers, Jakob and Ellenore, paired together and they didn’t disappoint. If these two aren’t in the final four I will be extremely upset as they have the personality, the technique, and the performance to be stars. I think that whoever chooses the partners made a huge mistake sticking Mollee and Nathan together, and it was great to see them grow and display their maturity and dance prowess with new partners.
I actually agreed with the judges, liking Ashleigh and Legacy’s first strange contemporary-hip hip thing more than the hip hip with a cape. I did really miss getting to see part of the rehearsal process though, especially Jakob and Ellenore with Sonja.
I continue to be amazed by just how fantastic Russell is. His solo was fantastic but he’s such a beautiful contemporary dancer and he did the jive! I don’t know that he will actually make it to the top four, but if I had my way the final four would be Jakob, Ellenore, Russell, and Kathryn.
This is going to be a hard one… I think all 10 are pretty amazing. My Top 4 are Nathan, Jakob, Ellenore and Kathryn… but I really like Legacy, too. As long as these five are safe tomorrow night, I think I’ll be ok!
I also missed the group pieces. The last couple of seasons, Top 10 included a Top 5 girls and Top 5 guys, and I have always really enjoyed that. Last season actually had several guy only/girl only pieces after Top 10, and I was hoping this season would do the same. Maybe they’ll do them next week? I hope so.
Oh, and it was nice seeing Nigel call out the choreographers when he feels that they let the dancers down. And I am now a huge Spencer Liff fan!! Now I actually look forward to the Broadway pieces!
what was the song called that the pair danced to when they just did sonia’s routine?
@Chelsea Rae: You called my Top 4. 🙂
@Stephanie: I know what you mean. I was missing the girl/guy routines too. Maybe tomorrow? Tonight felt kinda frenzied without the packages and with so much going on, but that could’ve been because they were pushed back for the Presidential Address, too.
what song did ellenore and jakob just dance to for sonya’s routine??
Oh, Alex, we have all of tonight’s performance music up on a separate post here. It’s called “Tore My Heart” by Oona and Dave Tweedie. It’ll be available on iTunes by tomorrow and we’ll link to it when it is. Thanks for reading!
Oh thanks so much!
You’re welcome. And thank you!
I also completely agree with Chelsea Rae’s top 4… and pretty much everything else she said! lol
I was thrown by not getting to see the rehearsal footage, but I guess it had to be sacrificed for the dancer profiles… which were worth it for Russell’s mom saying, “You go, boy.” 🙂
Noelle and Ryan were delicious and lovely! I hope that buys her another week.
I think Gary Stuart’s style should just be called “Athletic”! But I did enjoy that piece. A&L’s second one wasn’t bad, but I had the same thought as Nigel about wanting “more dancing.” It didn’t have much meat on it. It wasn’t even a problem of more story than dancing, because there really wasn’t much of a story either (beyond Legacy in a cape).
Nathan won points with me for how adorable he was doing the Broadway style. I also felt like he was (friend-)crushing on Kathryn a little, and I wondered if he was hurt that the judges implied they didn’t have chemistry, lol.
Mollee and Russell were a good couple, but I didn’t think the first piece was as amazing as the judges seemed to. It was nice, but it just made me remember his contemporary with Noelle (which was rrreally beautiful), and a similar but stronger Mandy piece – Melissa and Ade’s first dance last year, to another 80’s ballad 🙂 So it suffered a little by the comparison.
Jakob and Ellenore… I thought I might implode from all the awesomeness, lol! They made the quickstep not “dreaded,” and OMG, no words for the Sonya piece, and no telling how many times I will rewatch that on my DVR. It *was* like The Garden The Sequel, except, as much as I love Mark and Courtney, Jakob and Ellenore are probably even stronger dancers, so… yeah. Holy crap.
Russell’s, Jakob’s, Ellenore’s (lovechild of Jeanine and Mark!), and Legacy’s (*almost* got a Chbeeb-like happy flutter in my chest) solos were the best.
Btw, the possible top 4 of Jakob, Ellenore, Russell, and Kathryn makes me think… I really hope we get to see Russell and Kathryn paired soon! They were so cute in that INCREDIBLE NappyTabs group number from last week, and I think they’d be an awesome couple.
(Sorry I wrote a book!)
@ahs (April): “Ellenore the love child of Jeanine and Mark!” OMG and LOL! And all that good stuff. SOOO RIGHT, you are. And I’ve been misspelling Ellenore’s name all season, calling her Elleanore. Write a book whenever you like, darlin’.
@April, you practically read my mind!! I don’t have to write my thoughts, you practically wrote them for me! I did miss seeing rehearsal footage, but more than that i missed seeing their reactions when they picked their partners, that’s such a fun little part of the show. I about died laughing when I saw your comment about Ellenore being the love child of Jeanine and Mark, very clever. Her solo tonight reminded me a little bit of Ade’s with all the computer sounds, quirky and original, totally loved it. Totally agree on the Russell/Mollee Mandy Moore piece, I like them together but I liked Melissa and Ade’s more, especially when Ade had her on his shoulders in a split then he pulled her over his head *sigh* that was amazing.
I LOVED nathan and kathryn’s broadway piece, though I wasn’t crazy about Kathryn’s dress, it was beautiful but I felt like it washed her out. Remembering the movie, Vera-Ellen is in either a stronger blue or pink outfit that just popped.
for anyone not totally familiar with what Adam was talking about with that style, here’s a clip from White Christmas (it’s not the “Choreography” clip, I couldn’t find it anywhere!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZXYYfHICSc
Did I mention I’m totally in love with Spencer Liff? 🙂
@Margaret: I often think that one thing each new season is especially good for is making us appreciate past seasons. 🙂 Deep into Season 7, we’ll be saying, “remember last season when…, sigh…”
@Margaret… Lol, I think last week I said Ellenore’s solo was like one of Jeanine’s solos had a baby with one of Ade’s solos, actually! So, yes, um… Ade-Jeanine-Mark threesome!… *cough* Dancing threesome. So… trio 😉
@Emilie… any chance in S7 we’ll have our old set back and we’ll be saying, “Remember last season when we had that big stage? That was weird, huh?”??
If both Ellenore and Jakob are safe tomorrow then they might be one of the first couples to have survived the quickstep while both partners were not ballroom dancers.
I think from the very beginning of the quickstep when Ellenore pasted that number on Jakob’s back, he had such great acting skills and personality in addition to the poise he presented to set the tone for the dance itself. If Jakob doesn’t win this cycle I’d be surprised, he’s definitely the real deal.
FINALLY! J/E contemporary (or was it jazz?) routine that finally took my breath away. A finale worthy dance. And it reaaaaally helped having that Oona and Dave Tweedie song lol. Sonya is like the new Mia Michaels on this show.
I think Kathryn was a good partner for Nathan. I think they come from really different backgrounds. It sounds like Kathryn is really driven and as she stated sacrificed a lot to achieve where she is now. Although the very first poster stated she seems naive, I feel like she’s the opposite of that. I think Nathan is a representation of being naive and maybe spoiled because he was already surrounded by opportunity and as you could tell by his tears, he had finally learned to appreciate. He’s a fabulous dancer but he was brought up with his talented brothers who taught him at such a young age. But Kathryn (does she have siblings?) sounds like she’s been through a bunch of unsaid things moving on her own. I somehow don’t find that naive at all. Independent maybe. I could be wrong, but there is a hint of difference in the maturity.
Correction on my previous comment.
“…while NEITHER partner was A ballroom dancer”
Standouts for me:
Jakob/Ellenore – contemporary
RUSSELL!! (and Mollee) – Jive
KATHRYN!! (and Nathan [okay he was pretty good]) – Broadway
Legacy’s solo – his bboying to No air gave it a softness and fluidity. It was quite interesting.
Kathryn’s solo -she needs to pin her hair back though. It wildly attacks her face 😛
Russell’s solo
Nathan’s solo
I kinda liked Ashleigh/Legacy contemporary routine
Ryan and Noelle’s hip hop. Noelle surprised me tonight.
@April:
Totally agree with your top 4. *high 5*
Boy, what a night. I enjoyed all the routines. Only the Ashley/Legacy vampire routine fell kinda flat. But I blame Dave Scott for that.
I disagree with the comment about Kathryn being niave/churchy(?). She’s just a southern girl next door type… really freaking sexy girl next door.
As much as Elleanore is gifted technically, she’s the one I have trouble with forming a connection. She comes off as a little entitled/snobby to me. Meh.
Her quirky twitchy solos I don’t enjoy. I want to see graceful feminine moves, not a dancing squirrel. Sorry, just how I feel…
@ April – I think you’re spot on about the friend crushing! It did look like Nathan had a bit of a thing for her!
I adored The Garden: The Sequel. How awesome would it be to see Mark and Ellenore dance together after the competition is over sometime? I think the world would implode under the power of their combined quirkiness!
It looks like there are a few of us who would like to see a Russell, Jakob, Kathryn, and Ellenore top four. Let’s hope that it happens! 🙂
Great show last night. I enjoyed everyone in parts at least. To me the biggest letdown was Legacy during the hip hop number. I didn’t think it was as bad as the judges did, but I thought Ashleigh really stole the show from him, and it seemed like the sync was off because he was off. I wasn’t too fond of Russell and Mollee’s contemporary routine, but it was all in the choreography. I’m just not into Mandy Moore’s contemporary. I find them pretty cookie-cutter/cheesy in the music, styling, and story.
A few solos didn’t really do much for me. (Ryan’s I thought was odd, but I liked the intention behind it, and I give the ballroom guys a lot more slack on solos than, say, the b-boys, since what they do in their solos is fits in so well with their style.)
Some great routines, though, including Noelle/Ryan hiphop, Russell/Mollee jive, Nathan/Kathryn broadway, and especially Jacob/Ellenore contemporary, which was fantastic. Sonya is filling the Mia Michaels void for me as well.
I kind of liked not having the intro packages for the dances, so they just had to stand on their own. I missed seeing the rehearsal process a little, but ultimately I think this is more fair.
I love this top ten! I think they combine the talent of season 5 with the personality of season 4. I don’t really want anyone to go home, but I think the married couple is my least favorite.
I loved Mollee last night. I was worried that as they critiqued her for being immature she would lose some of her personality and joy, but last night she seemed to really be having fun.
Kathryn amazes me more every week. For someone I didn’t know at all in the beginning she is becoming one of my favorites.
I love Russell too! And Ellenore! Would be happy to just see this top ten keep dancing the rest of the season!
@Chelsea Rae, ooh, Mark and Ellenore…
You know what? They should let us vote for which dancers from past seasons we want to see paired for some kind of a special! That would be so much fun! Could I see Travis and Jakob dance, please? I might die, lol! Even some dancers who were in the same season but were never paired… I’m still wanting to see Mark dance with Katee!
I think my favorite part of Jakob and Ellenore’s routine was when their heads were together and they were moving across the stage, they moved with intention and they never took their eyes off each other, it was fantastic. I think this surpasses The Garden as the best piece Sonya has ever done on the show. Though I loved The Garden and Courtney and Mark, Jakob and Ellenore are the most technically gifted pair she has ever been able to work with and it showed.
Some quick thoughts:
-Jakob and Ellenore are insanely good, and their pairing was just as excellent as I hoped it to be
-The Dave Scott hip-hop was amateur compared to the other routines done in this style. Small simple movements, and they were obscured by a gimmick. In my opinion, I shouldn’t have to know the concept of the piece to feel like I’m getting something out of it. Knowing the choreographer’s intent can enhance the experience, but it shouldn’t be a requirement for enjoyment.
-Now that we have Spencer Liff, can we please keep Tyce away from the Broadway genre? It’s really nice to see genuine Broadway dancing.
-Splitting up Mollee/Nathan was the best thing that could happen to both of them. Combining their personalities kept them from growing past the second week.
-I was actually a bit disappointed by the Ryan/Noelle pairing, and with their performances. To me, Ryan seemed stiff, and Noelle came across as occassionally awkward. The hip-hop was good, but I doubt I’ll remember it after tomorrow. The waltz felt bland to me. I didn’t feel the beauty that others did.
-I wasn’t into the first Legacy/Ashleigh piece either. The choreography felt like a Sonya knockoff, but not executed as well. The performance was a bit rigid too. However, given everything these two have done up to this point, I’m willing to overlook it for a week.
-The Russell/Mollee pieces didn’t leave much of an impression on me. They were good, and the jive was fun, but I doubt I’ll remember them as season highlights. I love Russell’s solos, but I’m realizing that beyond the Frog/Princess routine, I can’t recall anything else he’s done. Mollee is hit or miss, but benefits from having a different partner.
-I wasn’t feeling the rhumba from Nathan. He had a really strange expression on his face the whole time, like he put a mouthful of sour-patch kids in his mouth and chopped an onion before performing. When I just watched Kathryn, she was excellent, and has done a great job at making herself stand out.
-Sonya Tayeh has done excellent work this season.
Huh. Interesting night.
The “packages”? Didn’t miss them at all. The only awkward bit was how the first dance just sort of…started. After that, I was glad. They always showcased just enough of the dance that it was not surprising at all unless they didn’t do a move that was pretty hyped. I was really interested in each dance for this reason.
Ryan & Noelle – Wow, he really brought more out of her. She was super sexy in the hip hop, and so gorgeous in the smooth waltz. He was less interesting in both but his strength is what he adds to his partner. Noelle’s solo was more of the same, she does it very well but it felt stale. I really felt like Ryan brought a lot more meat to his solo involving some cute tricks outside of the ballroom steps.
Ashleigh & Legacy – Maaaan these two lucked out. I thought both routines were terrible, but I didn’t think either was terrible due to the dancers. The choreography was lame and didn’t allow them to connect with anything. If either of them go home, it will have been a serious injustice on the part of the show. Ashleigh’s choice of music allowed her to do some fun stuff and bring a lot of personality to her solo. Legacy, wow, I SAW how much he’s improved. He worked hip hop and contemporary to transition between his breaks. What he needs to work on is making his choreography less literal in terms of connecting to the music.
Kathryn & Nathan – She really brought a lot out of Nathan in their Broadway. I thought the Rumba was gorgeous for her but a little sloppy for him. And his face was a mask of apparent death, like he had lost someone. That’s just the “Nathan” face and for that reason I’m not a big fan. I’d be fine with him going home. Kathryn’s solo was gorgeous. Nathan’s solo was pretty solid and his reaction to the dancing and his family was touching.
Jakob & Ellenore – Wow, fantastic routines from both. The quickstep looked easy and not laborous! That Sonya piece though, it was brilliant. It did also remind me of The Garden. And I loved that Oona and Dave got a routine to a piece of theirs, especially after all the attention Puresytycd paid to their work. I don’t see either of these two leaving but let’s hope the Janette factor doesn’t cut either one before their time. I don’t recall Jakob’s solo? I think maybe my DVR cut off early. Ellenore’s was quirky and fun, as normal.
Russell & Mollee – Wow, this worked! I am tired of seeing Mollee do ballroom though. Can she get something else? I loved their first routine, I thought it was so complicated and executed beautifully. This is one of those times I was so glad we didn’t have the opening package because my jaw just kept hitting the floor with that number. Russell’s solo was fantastic. His krumping is so wonderfully accessible and he’s dropped a lot of the facial aggression that was removing me from his pieces. Mollee’s solos continue to please me because she dances to dance music. I love that they did LM*AO, like they have to censor it. LMFAO did that song. In regards to her dancing, she does a lot of tumbling which is fun but it kept seeming like she was about to buckle. I enjoy her more as a dancer as the show progresses.
@Ben, I so agree about Legacy! His solo was amazing! But yes, I thought that too, about the “literal” (you don’t need to point your thumbs at yourself when the music says “ME,” Legacy, lol).
I think Nathan’s rhumba face was him trying to look… passionate? But I think he’s just too young 🙂
