Adechike danced with Courtney G.
Billy danced with Katee (because Allison was sick) to Macavity: The Mystery Cat from CATS (original cast).
Ashley danced with Dom to Ludacris’s How Low.
Kent with Comfort to You’re not my girl by Ryan Leslie. (I love this song!!!)
Jose Ruiz danced to INXS ” Never Tear Us Apart”
loved tonights music
it’s inxs “never tear us apart” they are a popular band from the 80’s
@Lisa and Renee: Looooool. My mom read INXS as Nixs. ๐ I was looking for a whole new band.
Thanks to the rest of you – I saw your help after I’d updated the music. But I’m ALWAYS grateful for your help and input!
@Amanda: Ditto. Especially the “Nixs” song. ๐
Lauren and Pasha’s choreography was Jean Marc and France!
*choreographers* my bad..
Mia Michaels is a racist BIT.. She showed her prejudice last year and again tonight with the “African” comment. She needs to go or lets all start putting down fat lesbians
my my @Joyce! clearly, Mia’s not the only one with prejudice in here. tsk tsk i frown upon YOUR bigotry
interesting to see someone OTHER than Wade use Roisin Murphy, lol, liked the song a lot
@Margaret: I find it interesting that almost all of the “iconic” routines to Roisin Murphy songs are on the same album, “Ruby Blue.”
@Emilie, wow I didn’t know that. fun fact.
@Margaret: I just noticed it last night when I was getting the iTunes link. “Night of the Dancing Flame,” “Ramalama” AND “Ruby Blue” are all on the Ruby Blue Album. And now “Sinking Feeling.” ๐
Earl, being born of color isn’t a choice. Mia’s lifestyle is a choice. She is rude and mean and doesn’t belong on the show.
@Joyce and Earl: This is not the place to criticize someone’s race OR sexuality OR lifestyle. And when I say “this isn’t the place,” I don’t just mean the music post – I mean this entire site. It’s cool to say you found Mia rude. But criticizing her actions in conjunction with her assumed sexuality is not appropriate and won’t be tolerated. I reserve the right to delete any further comments if John and I deem them inappropriate. While we do get silly and occasionally heated in our debates and discussions, I ask here and now that any further discussion of race, sexuality and lifestyle be respectful – of the subject and of the other readers of this site.
Seems like Mia really hit some chords with some people last night. I can see why they would be mad at her. She was pretty rude. The comment that really hit a chord with me was when she said she missed Alex. That was just harsh.
Mia just is who she is and isn’t going to change. It’s unfortunate since she does such great choreography. I think it’s part of her teaching style (for good or for bad).
This said, I like her more than Mary as a judge. At least Mia offers an opinion even if it’s not a popular one. Mary offered little to no value.
I’d still rather have rotating judges. Just keep Nigel as the staple and rotate the rest like before.
@John: And I usually agree with Mia. I just hate the way she’s been expressing herself. It was one thing when it was relatively sporadic and diluted, but having her on all the time (and I *never* thought I’d say this) is a little too concentrated, a bit too much. At least she’s gotten some practice apologizing before…
Does anyone remember during Vegas Lauren Frogerman saying something like this: The numbers keep getting smaller and smaller yet I keep dancing with the Koreans… I was watching and I was like, what did she just say? I though there’d be a big deal made out of it. I had to rewind a couple times and couldn’t believe my ears. I do not tolerate prejudice at any level. I know she’s young, but she should know better
I remember her saying something like that. I don’t think that she’s prejudice. I think she was trying to be funny for the camera and ended up saying something that she didn’t mean.
actually, she said “curtains” hence why she ran into them before she said the word.
Does anyone have any idea what the music was that was used during Robert & Kathryn’s rehearsal package? It had its own doll like quality that sounded really cool.
@John & @Debbie, I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt because she is young. Why would she say she was dancing with the curtains?
@Ellen
Her saying Dancing with the curtains is just her way of saying that she had no room to dance and so she kept running into the curtains. At least that’s my interpretation. Makes sense to me.
Oh okay thanks, John, for making some sense out of it lol. She really is an awesome dancer. I wasn’t liking her too much, because I thought she had made a prejudiced remark. I did research it more and I believe she really did say “curtains”. Now it’s my turn to appologize. I am sorry Lauren.
Since she’s been my favorite since I saw her first dance, then I have the right to say, “You’re forgiven” for her;-)
thank you:) She is really good and a cute kid too!
